About Girl On Girl Collective
“An experiment aimed at creating an environment for female artists to create, learn and collaborate with one another. Based at Syracuse University but spanning across the country we are attempting to create an atmosphere where women can show their own work, analyze each others work, and come together to make new works through encouragement and support for one another. ” - GGC
About Junior High Gallery
“Junior High is a community space in Hollywood, California. We promote the artistic pursuits of marginalized voices through events and arts education.” - Junior High Gallery
“Welcome to Junior High, L.A’s coolest new art space for “everyone who ever felt the art world was too expensive, too male saturated, too white, and too inaccessible”. A community hub that combines exhibitions and workshops with a cute little store where you can buy pink stuff with Drake’s face on it, Junior High is pretty much the space of our dreams.” -Hope St Magazine

Artist Talk May 4th 6pm
I am pleased to announce that a solo exhibition of my Ocean Series will be held at the Great Highway Gallery in San Francisco this month. There will be an artist talk on Wednesday May 4th to discuss the narrative behind this body of paintings, my artistic process, and what it means to be an artist in the Bay Area followed by a question and answer period. I hope to see you all at the opening reception this Saturday, April 30th from 6-9pm.
This will be the debut exhibition of this series, which I began in Sicily at the Artigiana residency in 2014. I have continued this body of work while here in California, drawing inspiration from its rich coastline.
Artist Statement
Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, in a climate dense with fog, has influenced me to represent the ocean in a blurred and dreamlike way. The use of natural settings, organic shapes, and colors specific to this coastline
are repeated elements in my work.
